Oregon is located on the west coast of the United States between California and Washington. It is a state full of sights, things to do and especially great for outdoor opportunities.
Salem, the capital city and Portland are the biggest cities in the state. Both are a good bases for exploring the many possibilities of the area. Portland is also very much worth a visit to see the urban architecture.
Oregon has one of the most diverse landscapes of any state in the US. It is well known for its tall, dense forests; its accessible, scenic Pacific coastline; and its rugged, glaciated Cascade volcanoes. Other areas include semiarid scrublands, prairies, and deserts that cover approximately half the state in eastern and north-central Oregon.
