Jordan is an Arab country in the Middle East. It is bordered by Syria to the north, Iraq to the north-east, Saudi Arabia to the east and south, and Israel to the west.
The climate is dry and hot, since the country is mainly desert. However, the western part of the country receives greater precipitation during the rainy season from November to April.
Jordan is home to some of the greatest and most fascinating Roman archeological sites. It is also home to some of the grandest mosques of the Middle East.
